What are you painting on your child who is the canvass?

A baby in the womb is a blank canvass which is about to enter a dirty world. Will the dirt of this world make its way onto that canvass? As a parent, will you provide the cover necessary for that canvass to receive things of God that will direct the child's path as the child lives in a dirty/fallen world? Are you at a place in your life to provide that covering? In other words... are you part of a world that doesn't see anything wrong with its fallen state? When someone says the world is fallen, do you get upset as people point to the ways of the world that demonstrate its fallen state? The things people point to... do you feel like it is an attack on your lifestyle? If the fallen world looks like your lifestyle and your lifestyle is identified here in Galatians 5:19-21, then you are not in a position to cover your child from the dirt this world will attempt to put on that canvass. In fact, a parent who is aligned with a "Galatians 5:19-21 world" will be the most effective tool it uses to get to the child. That world doesn't have to do anything to invade your home... because it is in the home through the parent who has conformed to the "Galatians 5:19-21 world" ways. You... the parent will be the first artist to paint on that blank canvass. First impressions are lasting impressions... but can be broken through Christ Jesus. The only thing here is the child will have to separate his/her love for you from the images you painted on his/her canvass... and turn from them without feeling like turning from them means he/she doesn't love you anymore. That's where the battle will be in this child's later years. He/she will have to make a decision to trust God's ways which were not originally painted on his/her canvass or trust your ways out of loyalty to your bloodline connection. Jesus makes it clear that blood ties can cause you to stay in bondage because you value that connection more than you do a spiritual connection to Jesus.

Matthew 12:46-50 (KJV)

46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.

47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.

48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?

49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
