Stop Wearing Our Feelings on our sleeves
When we wear our feelings on our sleeve... we then expect everyone to affirm us and we are offended by people if they don't give us what we need from them...even if they are gentle and kind. Those of you who say you have the spirit of God dwelling in you and leading you... we should not be led by our feelings. We should be led by the spirit of God which carnal nature wants no part of..PERIOD. Here's how you know when carnal nature is leading you. When you don't follow the scriptures as to how to deal with a variety of things that might make you feel uneasy. We are to test what is leading us by what is written. If we don't want to use what is written to lead us in regards to how we feel about something or someone... then what is leading us in that moment does not come from God. This is when you know. When we wear our feelings on a sleeve.. we will be led by our feelings. And our feelings will cause us to miss so many blessings. Our feelings don't want to follow scripture on how to resolve matters. Our feelings want us to stay in our feelings as the primary guide.
Romans 8:7 says Carnal nature (the flesh) is hostile towards God (emnity) for it can not please God. If we are supposed to be spiritual but led by our feelings... we will do more harm to ourselves than the people we feel have offended us.
